About the Journal
Circular Materials and Chemistry (CMC) publishes papers on Circular Chemistry, Circularity and Life cycle of materials. It focuses on research aimed at designing materials that respect ecological, environmental and social principles, and on the relationship between these materials and the economy and society.
CMC welcomes papers articulated around the three pillars of circularity: Materials and Processes, Economy and Society. CMC publishes papers that either specialise in one of the three aspects or are inter- or multi-disciplinary.
CMC is a Diamond Open Access journal, in line with our values, and aims to free scientific communication from economic constraints that are increasingly difficult to bear and that create inequalities between researchers. This means that CMC is freely accessible online for authors (no Article Processing Charges —APCs— to pay) and readers (no subscription fees to pay).
It is also based on strong ethical principles that prevent any form of conflict of interest within the journal.
